For more than fifty years, thousands of people have come through the gates of Lenchwood; lives have been transformed, hearts have been healed, couples have met and children have grown up coming back year after year.
We want to ensure that for the next sixty years it will do the same thing, welcoming the groups and churches who need it most, and those who come here to find the peace and presence of the Father.

Lenchwood today
Lenchwood has 120 acres of fields and woodland, with lodges, cabins, camping pods, static caravans and pitches, and yet is still only a few miles from Evesham and under an hour’s drive from Birmingham. Along with a meeting barn and a commercial kitchen it can host over 1,800 people.
Churches, camps, conferences, youth weekends and families all come here. They range all the way from a multi-venue event with programme to match, to a family needing a quiet week away. The site is able to accommodate both.
Why we are asking
Lenchwood costs around a quarter of a million pounds a year to run, and our church focussed pricing does not cover that on bookings alone.
We could close the gap by charging what a commercial venue charges, but that would put Lenchwood beyond the reach of the churches it was given for.
Regular giving helps us stop that from happening. It pays the people who look after the site and everyone on it. It covers the upkeep that a working site never stops needing. It helps hold the price where a church can still reach it and helps us bridge the gap.
1966
Where we started
None of this began as a business plan. Lenchwood was given, not bought.
In 1966, Grace Hadley walked the fields at Spitten Farm and became certain that God wanted the farm to be used to care for his tired and weary children. A place of refreshment. The first camp came four years later, when a handful of students wanted somewhere to study the Bible together before their exams. They met in the farmhouse sitting room until so many people were squeezing onto the stairs that the floor below had to be propped up with railway sleepers from the cellar.
Sixty years on, that work is not finished.
